The future of CrossFit
Since the resignation of Greg Glassman (after some controversial comments), there has been some instability at the CEO level.
Things do appear to be looking up though with Don Faul recently taking over.
Don Faul is a former U.S. Marine Corps platoon commander and accomplished executive with more than eight years of CrossFit experience. Prior to accepting this position, Faul held key operational roles at growth-oriented consumer technology companies, including Pinterest, Meta (Facebook), and Google.
Personally, we believe that this is a good decision as Faul appears to have the commercial know-how to ensure the CrossFit community (and business model) continues to grow.
Conclusion
Whilst Greg has been an extremely polarising character during his tenure with CrossFit, there’s no denying that he has also had a phenomenal impact in building CrossFit to what it is today. Let’s hope that Don Faul can continue the upward trajectory of the sport!
